This is a Brannock Device. It was invented in 1925 to measure the length and width of feet. Early versions rest in the Smithsonian.
 One of our most powerful lessons at Wiivv is the connection between measurement and human potential. A poor understanding of your feet will directly limit your potential. How does this work? Confidence stems from our feet. They support our momentum, our goals, our relationships, our earnings and our health. They are physical and psychological. We feel a loss of potential when our mobility is taken away. We feel empowered when we are mobile. This potential cannot be measured. It is not defined by length and width. Mobility is one of our most essential human qualities and it won’t fit neatly on a sliding scale. Supporting human potential is our business.
